STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL ADVISOR

PAY: $2,500 Contract Position

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is for a part-time facilitator to assist the youth leaders with this program and to make sure that we have measurable results. The program includes youth leadership development and student administration of a Parks and Recreation program for the youth of Superior.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Employee supervises students on the Student Leadership Council.

  • In addition, employee encourages student activities that will contribute toward the health, safety, and desirable social skills and habits of the students while involved in activities, and at other assigned times and locations.
  • Employee will guide the students in the creation of achievable goals and programs for the Town of Superior Parks and Recreation Program.
  • Supervise students to assure financial accountability and town code are followed.
  • Supervise students on away trips.
  • Be available for special events on evenings and weekends.
  • Employee will also fulfill other related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to meet and be firm and effective with the public and students. Must be able to efficiently organize volunteer activities and provide organizational guidance to students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a pre-employment drug screen. 2 years of education related or supervisory experience preferred.
